Mbhetsa Academy – Academy of Science Maths and technology
Mbhetsa is located in Makgakgapatse Village in Mopani District, Limpopo. Mbhetsa Academy of Science Maths and Technology NPC “the Academy or Mbhetsa” is a Non-Profit Company, incorporated in 2018, and an approved Public Benefit Organisation (PBO).
The Academy was incorporated by partners who believe that quality education has the potential to not only alleviate poverty but also change the economic and social landscape of poor individuals based in our country’s rural communities.
The Academy aspires to serve as a Maths, Science and Technology Centre of Excellence to expose youth to career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields of study, and to support South Africa’s capacity development across these disciplines, with a key focus on rural communities.

To provide learners from rural and poor communities with access to safe and stimulating learning facilities that support quality education and educational outcomes that are responsive to the developmental needs of South Africa.

To bridge the urban-rural divide in education through our Academic Support and Enrichment Programmes, facilitated by qualified educators in well-equipped learning facilities, in an environment that exposes learners to the critical thinking required by higher learning institutions and in the world of business.
