LEARNER CENTRED
Mbhetsa Academy believes in a learner-centred approach. Learners are encouraged to develop their own understanding and their thinking and creativity is challenged, while the role of the teacher is mainly to guide and support learners.
RELEVENT TEACHING
Topics are connected with the real world and as far as possible are taught using practical illustrations. Through collaborative efforts with our Education Partners, Mbhetsa Academy provides academic support through developing Maths and Science programmes that prepares learners for higher education.
LEARNING SPACES
Our learning facilities are designed to affirm the dignity of learners, staff and the communities we serve. The learning environment supports active learning. The Physical Science and Chemistry Laboratories are available to learners in our communities to perform practical experiments guided by our experienced educators, this assists learners to enhance their understanding of concepts in science through practical applications and our Multi-Media Centres are equipped with PCs, Wi-Fi access and internet connections to allow students to interact with the internet and the latest technology.
HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT
The Academy believes in a holistic learner development as such serves as a Science Centre to expose youth, stimulate their interest and curiosity and encourage learners to further their education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields of study.
