What we do

The Academy was primarily established to provide Academic Support and Enrichment Programmes in Science, Maths and Technology subjects, to rural learners and youth in the Mopani District.

Our Academic Support and Enrichment Programmes include :

• Extra Science and Maths lessons to learners from various high schools in the District;
• Science Laboratories available for utilisation by various high schools in the District to perform their experimentations; and
• Information and Communication Technology (ICT) literacy, training and development  to youth in the community.

Mbhetsa Academy provides Science and Maths tuition to learners from various high schools in the District, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) knowledge and skills training to youth in the community – The Academic Support and Enrichment Programmes.

Our Academic pursuits aim to support the prevailing NSC curriculum available to secondary school learners in the District, and to support unemployed youth with access to learning facilities and resources that will assist them to improve their academic performance and employment prospects in STEM fields of study and ultimately to address the country’s skills shortages in these fields of study.
